Does anyone ride with gloves...my hands were killing me this weekend and im getting blisters and callusus and junx even in the middle of my palm. Does anyone ride with gloves at all or is this just gay...i never see anyone doing it except for pretenious snobs on slalom ski's and i dont want that but my hands hurt and i must be a whimp.

Kinda takes away style points... But Park Bonifay rode a couple years ago with like yellow work gloves that blended in and looked fine... Keep working your hands though, they'll harden up eventually.

if you have a comfy foam handle then dont use gloves because you dont need them and they will also rip up the handle

if you have a rubber waterskiing handle, then use gloves. save up your money and buy yourself a nice comfy handle...

Well, since everyone is throwing out a brand name, don't forget to check out Hardline. I just added a bunch of Hardline handles to Boardstop. I like the camo spider grip on the DHS and Standard handle, but I also really like the Sponge Grip Handle.

gloves are straight EVIL...i graduated skiing & kneeboarding to wakeskating & i was used to wearing gloves. i wore 'clinchers' (u know...the kind that automatically wrap your fingers around the handle so you dont have to do any of the work). well...about a month ago i was on the wakeskate with the clinchers and i was doing a simple BS butterslide when i lost my ballance and fell on my face...but unfortunately i couldnt release my hands in time from the handle and the boat pulled my whole arm over backwords. sprained my elbow, wrist and shoulder all at once. so i will NEVER use gloves again. and now that i dont ride with them its like learning all over again. it sucks. i got so used to wearing gloves that riding without them was difficult. i barely had enough grip strength to get out of the water and my hands hurt like no other for the first few weeks. so if there is a moral to my story it is: DONT WEAR GLOVES. (specially clinchers)

That's not a reason to avoid gloves in general... I have a crummy ski handle and I need to wear gloves. I just use a pair of weight-lifting gloves (the kind that only partially go up the fingers). That not being able to let go thing is not property of gloves in general.

check out the closeout dept at buy wake they got a couple choices, I like the accurate premier,it's super squishy; but you gotta have big ass gorilla fingers b/c it's 40 percent thicker than a normal handle
