alright first off i have a pretty good size pond in my back yard perfect for winching and possibly dropping a ski in but the only problem is that the pond is about 10 ft deep. Being so deep ive tried to sledge hammer everything from 4x4's to steel pipes (like the nick taylor rail) but they are still not sturdy enough. I think the pond is just to deep to pound anything into the ground. So my buddy came up with this idea... basicly its just gonna rest on the the bottom of the pond floor anchored down with cinder blocks
all the bases are done and the tallest one is about 13ft then 12ft then 11ft. Basicly if i drilled the trex on top right now this thing would be hell dragging into the pond, so I was thinking about taking each base out at a time then anchoring individualy and then drilling the trex once each one is anchored out on the pond.
any suggestions?

its when the beginning of the rail does not go into the water so you are required to ollie on. If its ride on you can start out getting the hang of the rail though by riding on and then once you get confident start ollieing on. Just because its a ride on doesnt mean you cant ollie onto it. |

i never said it was legit loosers haha
i like to ollie on instead of riding onto a rail because when you ollie onto a rail it feels a bit nicer to land on, plus you can feel the rail a bit better. I just finished a similar rail ill take pics of it. just make the ollie a little small so you can feel comfortable with the rail. then you can really use all 17 feet _________________ ninja's 4 Life

ollie on or not that will be a fun rail. floaters are way expensive compared to hammering it in. the design is fine. i take it you're going to use two 16' sections of trex? im building a 16' flat bar at a winch spot i found this weekend. i was going to do foldable sawhorse legs and make a portable one, but im just going to make it stationary. good luck _________________ "I said take me to the sea, cause that is where I want to be. sorry the pics arent zoomed in at all... I took the pics with my phone.
this first one is just a view of the pond off of my back yard
closer view of the rail
Ill try and get my buddy's digi photos up here with some better views.. we winched this sucker today and it rode so smooth and it was real sturdy.
Im thinking about buying a ski and building some more rails.. probably a flat bar or something.
