wouldn't that be pretty cool to have a full size winch but in a cooler? like it fits in a big cooler that has special slots cut out for the handle and what not and then cops won't harass you about bringing an engine in public places while your carrying it there. hmm anyone got plans or ideas on it?

You'll have to run it with the top off...otherwise the engine will probably overheat.

Yeah I wasn't sure if he meant that or he meant it for housing the winch as well.

Alternatively you could just be a dero like mcthrust and me and stick the winch in a shopping trolley Razz. "dont worry officer its just a shopping trolley, these noises are coming from..... the freeway Razz"
But yes hiding it in a cooler would be a very rad idea indeed

considered adding a second axle and gocart steering system and wheels, then just make it so you can put it in gear for the lower axle, drive, or the upper axle, winch, put a johndeer seat on it, and you got yourself a completely mobile winch that can outrun the coppas, not to mention you could sit on it and drive the winch too.

Soulprogression, I was thinking of a mobile winch for aaaages, but a second axel and stuff would be a bit annoying to configure. Just get a longer axel, and put another larger sproket outside the frame, which (via another chain) goes down to another drive sproket attached to a detachable wheel system. would be 1 wheel drive, but u could do it on both sides, if u understand my termanology.
Only problem is, i dont know why u would want a mobile winch, most of the places i have winched, would just suck if u needed to drive your winch there. But it is a good thought that i want to one day try and build

Ya, I thought about using the same axle, just put big tires on there, but thats more and more weight, it really needs to be like 4 wheel drive to be worthwhile too, but would be nice, to just drive to where ever your gonna winch.

This cooler would be perfect. Someone do it!!

Also, Check this out..

Already got the Engine, TAV2, Sprocket. All you need to do is attach a spool somwhere on the rear axel and you have a driveable winch with a cooler. Shocked
