I can clear the wake but am only getting about a foot of air. Whats the trick to getting big airs? Is it the edge or stomping the tail harder at the top or a combo?

I find that the best way for me to get more air on a w2w is to not cut out as far as your normally would on a wakeboard....maybe as much as 5 ft less depending on your rope length. I edge harder and right through the wake and it just seems to pop me up instead of across because you don't have as much momentum going accross the wake as you would with a big cut....thats just what i find works for me

Are you standing tall and sucking your knees to your chest?

Try standing tall off your back foot, like not completely straight but pretty boned out. Try and do a hard ollie I guess. I'm working on cleaning up my w2w's too, I hate "skimming" across.

If you want to get good height, you definitely need to do some sort of ollie motion, although I think that a "hard" ollie is not the way. I think of it as more of a slow motion ollie, if that makes sense. You still push down on the tail, but everything else is slower. When you get the feel for it you won't need to suck your knees in as much, and that will help you to get the most out of your pop. Best of luck.

i find using a 1-10 scale when cutting works but level out before you hit the wake or else your board slips out. i can get about 3-4 feet of air on a ski centurion when i do this
