I just got the new issue of wakeboarding magazine and saw an ad for the FlowSkate. Has anyone else seen it, I think its a pretty cool idea. |

Hey dave, the new one in wbm actually converts to a wakeskate. it's an interesting idea, but I dont' know that taking a wooden wakeskate on concrete will solve the wood waterlogging problem, but that's just me. Like I said, it's still interesting, just not my thing. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

Ahh..hence the name Flowskate. I guess I shouldn't have moved this topic. Well, it is in both forums now and the board is half wakeskate and half skateboard.... |

After I had ridden it, I told the guys at flowlab that the deck would not be that good to wakeskate on, mainly because of how narrow it is... I believe that it measured to only about 11inches. But you do have a good point, electricsnow, I didn't even think about the waterlogging problem, that would be another thing especially if you were to roughen up any part of the edges.
wakeman790, all you have to do in order to take off the wheels is to unbolt them from the deck. |

Yeah, unfortunately by constantly removing and attaching the wheels, those holes are going to be worn down as well and that could also lead to waterlogging (you know, the constant friction and wearing from the screws). But it was quite a surprise to see you in the magazine kyle, so that's pretty cool! _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |
