i have an old go-kart and its a 5hp and it almost has everything but how do i know that it would be strong enough to pull cause its only 5hp

read some threads on here for more detail. but i believe if you have it geared right, with the sprockets, and take the governor off..you might be able to make it work.

alright thanks i will look around some more but taking off the governor would that be bad for the engine

no... shouldn't be.. it just limits the engines maximum rpm

blake123, taking off the governor can hurt the engine... but fortunately for us we dont use it long enough for it to matter... the governor is there for gocarts so people dont rev it too high for too long... since we only rev the engine for 30 seconds at a time and then shut it off for a few minuites there really isnt any harm being done... most winchers these days just remove the governor instead of purchasing higher hp engines...
