rails are slippier than you might think don't lean to far back otherwise you'll be sittin on your ass pretty fast
cut out for propper speed (that the cable won't pull you off of the box/rail), open up shortly in front of obstactle, stay centered over your board, slide, land, ride away |

Basically what bachlonso said and try and absorb the up-ramp with your knees so that you don't lose the board once you're on it.
