I haven't got it yet. I will let you know when I get a chance to use it. My frame is getting powder-coated so the iWinch is out of commission for a week or so. Did the radio works claim to float? The lady told me that she has had about 8 orders from winchers this summer alone. It's a great price and a durable strech-free rope. I am excited.

radio works doesnt float but it didnt claim to either, i wasnt sure how big of a deal that would be when i ordered it, but IMO, its huge now that ive used it a bunch. its a good rope for the money, but i for sure want to hear how the amsteel does, if it floats and works well, im all over it. im currently tryin to figure out a new frame design (alum) and also work on hopping up my 6.5hp knock off right now.

Parachute cord is pretty darn strong, but it does have lots of stretch.

PARACHUTE CORD WILL NOT WORK.

I'M IN THE MILITARY AND I TOOK 1000' FROM WORK AND USED IT. IT BROKE IMMEDIATELY.

not strong enough, it works on parachutes cause there are 16 lines that hold you to your chute. winching just used one.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, besides i can get PLENTY of it for free. Wink

[Norcalz71]
The winch I just recently finished has an all aluminum frame. My intention was to polish it and get it clear powder-coated, but after all the damn work I have been through, I said F*it and I am just doing a color. It would have taken me a million years to polish all the imperfections away. It's still really light for a 9HP.

I just got my AmSteel last night. My frame is still being powder coated but Im hoping to have it back and running by mid-next week. Will let everyone know how the 1/8" amsteel holds up for a 195lb fatty. haha.

oh yeah. sorry. I just put my winch back together the other day. the rope is amazing. I ran it all out and swam out into the lake - did a deepwater start with 600 ft out and it didnt stretch an inch. also floats perfectly. i would recommend picking some up.
