|
|
So after many requests for the Dimensions/plans of the 80' rail I have decided just to post them up. There is nothing to elaborate about them...pretty basic just on a large scale. These plans Can also be used for other projects...most inground rails will use the same General plans.
anyway Enjoy!

All you need are straight poles in the ground. Just pound in one dioagnaly from the post to cross brace it with nails/screws. Plenty strong and makes it much easier and faster.
Sick design, is it going to be ollie on or ride up? You should do ollie onto IMO.

we allready madeb this rail last year...see other thread "Check this 80 footer" and when building on this scale you really need as much support as you can get....The A frame off the 4x4's is pretty much essential or the rail is gonna be super sketch...not to mention the farthest thing from straight p[ossible haha

jake heney Another way to avoid the bump that sometimes occurs when connecting two sections of wood together is, putting trex over the space where the wood is flush so it will be smooth.

ya that's what we were gonna do...but to save time we just overlapped the trex on the 2x12 at each joint that saved having to cut the trex...it also made the kinks a little bit mellower. and it tied all of the angles together...after putting the trex on like that you wouldn't believe how sturdy it became!!
