My garndpa has a farm about 10 minutes from where I live. There are these two ponds there that are back to back. Recently we have had quite a bit of rain so both these ponds are at max capacity...the smaller one is flowing into the bigger one. The dam for the smaller one is about 6 feet wide with the water level on one side about 2 to 3 feet higher than the water in the bigger pond that sits on the other side. The first pond is about 100 feet long going strait towards the dam. On the other side there is about 250 feet of water traveling strait across til you hit land. I have eyed this thing for so long. I am ready to hit it. I have explained the scenerio to some of my red neck buddies and they are totally into pulling me with there 4 wheelers. I plan on getting another 65' ft or so of rope to add on to my 65' and ollie this land gap. I think everything should work out. The 4-wheeler will have enough room to pull me but i am a little concerned with being able to get up to speed in time to make the ollie. I have also only ridden once so far this year so I think I would like another time or 2 behind a boat so I can get a feel for my skate again but it wont be long until this goes down. If everything goes as smooth as I hope then there will be some serious sessions at this place with some rails and ramps later. _________________ "You might not see things yet on the surface, but underground, it's already on fire."

You should have plenty of time to get up to speed with the 4 wheeler because I have a small pond and the whole length was around 150ft and we had a rail in it and you got up to speed in plenty of time to ollie fine. Make sure you get the footage.Good luck _________________ www.wakeboardatlanta.com |

Thats what Team Pirate is all about Commando Wakeskating! Going out and finding new ponds and stuff like that. We use to pull it with our car but Ben filped it. ARRRR! anyways, Our Pond is 70 feet wide and in about the 1st 10 feet ur up to speed and rdy for a trick, so in a 100 feet u have alot more time. That sounds SICK. Commando Wakeskating, thats what it is all about. I wanna see some footage too. GL man _________________ DRRRR |

Actually it already happened....I did it back at the end of June. I got footage too. I am back at school, so I will try to get it up now that I have access to a decent computer. Everything worked out pretty well. It took me about 12 tries before I finally got a good ollie with enough speed to ride it away. Oddly enough it was one of the ugliest ones I popped that I stuck. I'll see what I can do about getting up the footy. _________________ "You might not see things yet on the surface, but underground, it's already on fire." |
