mixed rope

i'm about to go winch soon and have some good line and some just reg ski rope...is it that big a deal to put both on there b\c we are winching a fairly large spot...any help?

i said about the other day, i was pissed b\c it was so nice and i coudnt go and my friend has a winch and he said anytime we want to go...i found two spots in norman that are pretty cool

still anyone know if its a big deal if there's different streach ropes on the spool?????

DO NOT put stretchy ropes on a winch. It will put tension on it and when it finally recoils, it will destroy.

Yeah, that's a no gp on the strech rope. it will recoil and make a mess.

bryanbryanbb08, wait are you asking if you can mix different ropes or are you asking if you can put rope that stretches on? cause those are two different things...

you can put reg ski line and other non stretch rope on no prob... i have 3 different size lines on my winch... but as che said do not put on rope that stretches cause it will jack everything up...

i was saying a ski rope and a non stretch rope so that would be ok?, the ski rope is not really stretchy just not as good as non-stretch expensive line...

bryanbryanbb08, yea thats fine... i know people who have used nothing but ski line tied together... if it becomes a problem you can always remove it... if you have line that stretches though it can and will become a problem quick
