i got my winch back and want to ride 2morrow in Austin. Would Barton Springs let me winch there? Also, funny thing happened winching in Marble Falls. Someone called the cops on us.One cop showed up and told us we had to split. First he wanted us to wait until his captain showed up so he could watch a few runs!

whats up to all the ATX riders elvisleg, andRhino, I have been hittin the bull creek it has a cool section you have to ollie over. not deep 3' but fun. I found this spot last summer but never got to hit it due to injuries. We are going to get a session set up out here soon.

this spot also has bbq pits, its kinda a park behind an office building don't know how deep but looks great

elvisleg, Hit up Barton Springs just across the fence from the actual pool...it's all good there...pigs can't even see you down there, of course unless you're stompin' you're tricks on someone's dog swimmin', that could be a problem, mad dogs out there....

i was in austin last week with a friend and we went to a place called something greenbelt. i was thinking it was like barton creek or something like that but i dunno. we hiked back like 15 minutes or so and jumped off some cliffs. it would be sweet to winch back there but its a long walk.

barton creek is the holy grail of winching in austin. they are a bit uptight about the area but considering that winching has zero ecolgical impact then maybe the powers that be could be convinced. in austin you cant swing a dead cat without hitting a winching spot. i will be hitting it all summer long. also checkout the new ShadowGlen Apartment complex.they have a 4 acre pool. i will skate that.

do you have pictures of Mantooth? would be nice to have a winch on opposite sides of the water. ive figured out that a re-curve bow and arrow works nicely for getting a rope across the water. on youtube search for colt barry to see a nice waterfall gap in georgetown.

Best winch spot we have found close to Austin is the Lake Dunlap waterfall gap in New Braunfels.

Thanks,
