360 shuvit

I'm getting alot closer now to landing them. I cut out and have my front foot a little bit towards the nose from the middle of the board, and when i shove the board im about 1 foot above the board, and the board is about a foot off the water. I watch the board rotate 360 degrees, but everytime i land both of my feet are on the tail of the board. Any advice? tips?

Practice getting your feet back to your regular riding position. Even if you have to do this on the carpet with a deck or just pretend without a deck. You can even practice with 180 shuvs. If you had your feet in the correct position, you would probably have landed it already.

Really concentrate on getting your feet back..don't get lazy half way through the trick. I know right now you just want to land it, but you will need to get this down now so that after you huck a few you can learn how to catch it before you land.

Why arn't my feet in the correct position now? When i do pop shuvits there in my normal riding postition. I thought my friend told me to have my front foot more towards the middle on shuvit3s.

I am talking about after you shuv. You said you are landing with both feet on the tail. Your position before the shuv sounds good.

Also, try jumping forward when doing the shuv. That may help you get more over the board on your landing.

You can also try to do them on the side of the wake.

Just approch it FS and try to launch out of it as if it was a quarter pipe... You get more pop than in the flats, and landing there is smoother

I still havn't landed one, but really havnt been trying that hard until this past week. Now I am at the point where I am actually cacthing the board in the air, but i always land leaning to far back and fall or i drag around with my butt in the water and cant stand back up.

yea thats exactly what i was doing for the longest time. it always felt like i had them perfect, but then i would slip off or something. you kinda have to find a happy medium with staying over your board. if you lean to far back youll slide out and to far forward you get jerked off. i got it once, and after that getting them on first try isnt really hard at all. youll get them soon

You are close now...keep trying and I think you will figure it out. Just try to stay over your board as much as possible.

For some reason now I've gotten into the habbit of passing my board up. I have ridden so little lately that I don't have much time to work on things. I'll get it though...good luck to you! Let us know when you stick one.

its always better to ollie hard so tht when u spin the board the water will pop it up making it spin harder. when u dont have to kick as hard to spin it ur feet will stay in a more normal position. just try it and ull undertand wht i mean
