If you are into skateboarding and haven't heard of the leap of faith... that's sad. Here is the clip of Jaime Thomas trying it for the first and last time from Thrill Of It All. So crazy.

I can't be bothered signing up. But I will say this, any one who tries the leap of faith is just stupid or drunk. I dont see why you would throw your self of something that big for enjoyment. _________________ Llamas are better then Alpacas

No, it was only once. Some random guy tried it and broke both his legs, and a fruitbooter tried it and hit his ass on the rail and fell. Now it's fenced off so nobody can try it anymore. _________________

the blader who hit his ass was the funniest thing I have ever seen. If you're so pathetic that you can't even aim yourself well enough to avoid hitting the rail, you deserve to get served. too bad he wasn't permanently disfigured... |

Aw horse shiite. Sorry about the dud rollerblader clip, that one is a serious pain in the ass to find on the internet, but it is out there.
The only other attempt that I know of was by a random guy skateboarding, they ran a partial sequence of it a long time ago in a magazine, so I'm sure they filmed it, but didn't put the clip on the net. _________________

Ive seen a movie of this guy... he was doing a stair set and it was like one that wrapped around not a long one... \__| /
And he tried to ollie the hand rail but he just clipped it and the skate board just stopped and he went flying down about 3 meters (about 11ft) and landed right on his head.
And this roller blader attempting a back flip. Obviously his first time and he launched off... hesitated and landed right on his neck. Amazingly he didn't snap his neck but he looked pretty fine when it showed him. _________________ Llamas are better then Alpacas

Wow, the leap of faith. I remember that from when I was in middle school. Didn't Jamie grab like melon or stalefish, because he thought that the board would stay with him better?
A couple years ago I was reading an article in Transworld and it was about how to go about getting sponsored. Whoever was the author showed an example of how not to go about it, and it was the story of some kid who moved out to Cali and immediately tried the Leap of Faith. It beat him the hell up. It was probably the skateboarder you guys were talking about, broken leg(s) and whatnot. |
