I wouldn't be afraid to call that first one a nosegrind just because those fins kind of act like trucks.

Respect to skateboarding. It's what (barely at times) separates wakeskaters from the wakeboarders.

Mr. Blanc, if you so desperately want wakeskating to "be its own entity," I'd suggest that you not use "nose manual" because that's a skateboarding trick (and a misused one at that).
And wakeskating isn't "clinging" to skateboarding, but skateboarding started it all and everyone--whether it be surfers, wakeskaters, snowboarders, or wakeboarders--is doing stuff that was first done on a skateboard. So whether you like it or not, wakeskating IS acting like skateboarding, but more so than most boardsports (in my opinion, I'm sure it could be argued).
And if nosepress is to be used (this has nothing to do with todd, I just want to make that clear), then you had better realize that it came from snowboarding, and they named it as such because they don't have any trucks to grind (so it's not a nose grind). And you know, when the board is nosepressed and angled to the side, it's called a krooked nose grind (for k-grind). It almost always comes back to skateboarding--everyone respects it, and in my opinion, that's the way it should be.
And gore, as always, that's some hot sh!+...

Wakeskating is about as closely related to skateboarding as it is to wakeboarding, or surfing, or skim, etc. You could as easily do wake style tricks as skate style. It's all how the individual choose to use the wakeskate. Choose wisely. perfect chance to correct electricsnow, surfing started it all.

I would call it a noseblunt if he were on the edge. And yes surfing started it all, I'm sure electricsnow is aware of that and it was a typo

i agree with snow on the fact that skateboarding is the basis for a lot of the tricks in wakeskating. i think it would be pointless to try and come up with completely new names for tricks that are already being done by our concrete-dwelling friends.

Yes, I know that surfing started it all, so to speak, but as far as aerials and grabs are concerned (and whatever other examples can be considered) skating pioneered that. It's one thing that skateboarding was able to give back to surfing. But yes, russian and gore are correct, surfing was first.

as i sed i have nothing against skateboarding and what i meant by "acting" is there is nothing about wakeskating that involves trucks. so why do u still say that in order to be a trick it still has to have trucks? and by the way Che Blanc isnt my name

I say that because that's how it was invented--it's my opinion, which obviously differs from yours. Cassette has their 4trac fins that mimmic trucks, and I know another company is working on something like that as well, so that's how you can keep the original skate tricks in tact.
I know che blanc isn't your real name, but it is your screen name. You know, just like electricsnow isn't my real name (by the way, I prefer electricsnow, rather than "snow") Would you prefer senior blanc? Or just che? Holla...

why does anyone have to keep skate tricks intact when u can adapt on them and improve on them. theres no point in tryin to keep all of the skate tricks when only a small portion of wakeskating is done on solid objects. thats like goin around preaching to skaters that they need to base their tricks and trick names on surfing... its just stupid because theyre so different
