Don't skimp out on glue- get the gnarliest, stiffest and most rigid glue you can find. It makes a huge difference. _________________

Very good points. Alot of glue is important especially on the edges, if you dont have enough glue a face plant will tear the bottom sheet of ply off it.
Like frye said don't rush it, we chucked ours together in about 2-3 days and we payed for it. It wasn't very water proof nad got heavier through out the day.
ANd yeah when putting the rocker to it dont do what TL said. Also leave it in there a good 4-6 days. Because if you dont it will lose its rocker very quickly and will be very flexible. Good luck. _________________ Llamas are better then Alpacas

two part epoxy resin - same as for fibreglassing etc works well as both a glue and to coat the entire board as a sealer. If you want a light board then use a marine sealant to coat the board after you have painted it. The epoxy resin as a glue also helps reduce water damage if you do get a chip in the edge as it acts as a barrier through which the water cannot pass (only one layer will be damaged and not very much as the rsin does soak in somewhat). The resin also makes the board stiff and hold its rocker after only 24hrs in the jig.
As others have said go nuts with the glue on the edges. If you do use epoxy resin get some peel ply when you buy the resin and drape it between your board and jig then no matter how much resin runs the board will not stick to the jig.
Make 1, then make another fixing all your stuff ups and maybe add a concave deck. _________________ rideo risi risum
