on a sk8board for a varial flip, u just kickflip, but while u kick the board down to flip it, give it a push out infront of u, to make it do a shovit while flippin... something like that just try it for kiks

When I do varial flips on a skateboard, I just do the same motion with my back foot as a pop-shuvit, except I flick my front foot off the side of the board on the way up. I really don't know how you would go about FS-flipping a wakeskate though.

You have the varial flip right, but a frontside flip is a kickflip where your board AND body do a frontside 180. A kickflip combined with a frontside shuvit is called a hardflip (because it's the "hard way" to do a varial flip. I think). I know somebody who reads this is going to say, "Nuh uh, a hardflip is a half-backflip thingy, like on Tony Hawk Pro Skater!" but that's just what a hardflip looks like if you don't quite do it right.

o now i totaly get it, i was on skateboarding sites and i saw the hard flip and was wondering what the f*ck they were talking about, a hard flip does sound real hard. doing frontside shovits is hard enough to get it to pop high enough to make the shovit let alone do a kickflip.

ok how about a imposiable, is that where the board does like a backflip? and whats a heelflip with a shovit?

An impossible isn't really a true backflip, it's a really wierd trick and it's hard to describe, but basically the board kind of wraps a 360 around your back foot, like a mix between a backflip and a 360-shuvit, kinda. So I guess it's almost like an "off-axis 360 shuvit." The board ideally never loses contact with your back foot.

A heelflip with a frontside shuvit is just called a varial heelflip. If you do a heelflip with a backside shuvit it's called an "inward heelflip," and it's a lot harder than a varial heelflip because you have to flip the board in the same direction that it's spinning, and your feet get into a really awkward position.

watch lovett's video and look at his varial kickflip, he does it a lot like a skateboard. he starts the shuv-it part and then kind of slides his front foot and actually "flicks" the board instead of just raising his front foot and push it down. but kenny davis on his frontside lifts his foot and kicks it, which is understandable because it would be really hard any other way.

WHen i do the varial flip (skateboard) i just do the kick flip with my front foot but at the same time i do a bs pop shuv it ( i cant do front side) with my back leg. Once you learn the timing they are quite easy to initiate. But good luck on them anyway.
