would it be possible to lock old threads? i find it annoying when someone revives some old ass thread only to say "that is neato" or something like that. a recently revived thread kinda made me wanna ask if it would be possible to have threads lock when they become 3 months old or something like that.

on the otherhand, i realize that there are times when someone wants to post an update to an old thread, so maybe you can make it so that when someone wants to post something, that a moderator has to approve that post in order for it to bring the old thread back to the top of the forum.

Eh, I think you just gotta deal with it. It sucks, but it it's completely subjective wether or not a post is relevant. Maybe if the fourm could archive a thread after say, a year and a half or so. I think the biggest problem is that people do search from time to time and will bring up an old post with a new question about the subject.

It's a real catch 22...

No keymaster, only gay men do that. I'm pretty sure scott's not gay, and I'm pretty sure scott doesn't even need cantaloupe, or grip tape to "feel like a man." (just funnin' y'all)

Anyway, that kid (if I know the thread you're speaking of) was acting out and he brought up like 15 threads from the dead. I didn't want to be a TOTAL tyrant about it, so I deleted the completely and utterly useless comments. One was questionable, and maybe that's what you're referring to...something about needing proof regarding a nollie?

anyway, I'll keep your suggestion in mind by filing it in our system, passing it through the chain of command and then eventually putting it in our "filing cabnet" (that's sitting next to my desk on the floor, and is filled with scrap paper).

Just kidding. But we'll definitely keep that in mind. If it's totally dumb, we could lock the topic or just delete the post.
