2 Jesse: No, I haven't. Unfortunately, I was at my friend's in Ukraine only for 5 days. It was raining 3 of them. So when we have assembled everything on the water - it was already dark. And I was leaving the next day. I will be there in august so I will ride it then. Here's a photo of my ride after we have set the rail:

2 JohnyUtah: I don't know about the Baltics, but in Russia the wakeskating scene is as follows: there are not much wakeboarders. (you can say that because there were only about 30 non-pro wakeboarders on the last years nationals) But most of them have wakeskates and sometimes ride it for fun. Ususally their expression is like: it's a good toy, but it's impossible to jump with it... Smile people are too lazy.
In Moscow we have about 7 places to wakeboard. U don't usually see wakeskating there. Last year I wakeskated with my Yamaha 1200, which was cheaper. But this year I decided to learn to jump and found 4 guys to wakeskate with.
The level is: wake-to-wake grabs, 1wake 180s, slide shuvit-outs, flat pop-shove-it. Rail boardslides and boardslides-to-fakie. That's it. Currently we're trying to do wake-to-wake rotations which is so difficult Smile
I am working on a website http://www.wakeskating.ru . It will bring all the formerUSSR wakeskaters together, let them be informed and share info. I hope it will be working by the end of this month. I have tried to contact www.wakeskating.com to propose some cooperation, but they haven't replied...

P.S. I think Ukraine will beat Tunisia. Smile easily

2 Palms: On the long rail we use a Yamaha PWC. In Ukraine they use a boat (some airNautique). By the way, I have never tried a winch. It seems to be extremely popular in US, isn't it??

I knew that the Ukraine was going to make it to the next round....good job!

Yo....if you guys have a helicopter, jet-ski, home-made rails, Vodka, and fresh Borscht soup, I am so coming there next summer....serious!!! I am sure that it's cheap as hell over there right now......

This is my universal calculator for figuring out how long I can stay in a country...

In the Ukraine, how much are?
1) One Pack of Marlboro Reds (cigarettes)
2) Bottle of top-shelf Russian Vodka
3) Price of Cheap hotel
4) Price of decent Hooker

Rock on!!
