Their show was real cool. So Thin Lizzy.

I'm after a copy cos my mate who said he'd record it only got the end. dick.

Beasts of Bourbon played the Gaelic Club the other night. chickity china the chinese chicken they're dirty and fiznackling rock so hard.

In general, I will say this, I hate the 80s bands. And I am referring to the big hair Styx, Guns N Roses, Poison types. But I like Queen. Anyways, I couldn't get that song "I Believe...." out of my head and just decided to try out the album. I kind of dig it. Its all over the place, some ACDC/Queen/Van Halen and general rock. I'm not gonna lie though, I pretty much laugh my ass off the whole time I listen to it because it just seems so out of place. Like a band stolen from 20 years ago, put into the year 2004. The video is hilarious, but I think it kinda sent the wrong message to people that their music is a joke too. I definitely don't think their music is ment to be a joke.
Anyways, this CD is about all I can take of 80s-esque rock in my cd collection, but there are some great tunes in there and is a welcome change sometimes.

At first I seriously thought that they were a joke, because I saw the video for "A thing called love." It really doesn't matter to me if it isn't a joke because I laugh my ass off every time I even think of the video. I am pretty sure that I didn't even realize that it was a modern day band. The long hair, crazy props and body suits are hilarious. My personal favorite is the guitar falling out of the ceiling. Even if you haven't seen how entertaining the video is the song itself is catchy enough. Yeah the band is genuinely good, the wailing guitar solos and high pitched vocals are sick, but more than anything it is just funny. I don't think you really even have to get into music like that to dig them though because I pretty much think 80's hair bands are gay. It is just funny as hell that somebody decided to get a band together like that 20 years after the 80's ended. Whenever I hear "A thing called love" it doesn't matter how shiznackle of a mood I am in, first of all I have to laugh, and then I am compelled to bust out the air guitar.

queen is not an 80's band, they are a 70s band that went into the 80s, all the good stuff was in the 70s, and queen was not a hair band either

I remember catching the darkness at one of their first headline gigs about a year ago, and they are something else live. I'm not a huge fan of the tunes, but there's a track called something like 'love on the rocks with no ice', and I have to say, I've never witnessed a better live performance from a band. fair play to them.

oh i was blessed with the rock god that is the darkness last week and had to let you know that their show is not to be missed! you gotta get out there and find, beg, sell your soul to see them! they're soooo crazy in concert!
