I love their record. Big guitar solos, what more do you need? They are usually hit a miss for people. Either you love them or you hate them. Anyone else a fan? Im thinking that the younger teenagers here don't care for them but maybe some of the older rockers here dig their chops?
PS - Thanks for the music forum Dave. You da man.

I like their song, "I Beleive In a Thing Called Love," but I havent heard any of their other songs. Are they gay? There vid comes off that way, but maybe its an 80's rock thing.

lol I don't think they are queer. Kinda a throwback to the 70's glam era. ie: Queen, Thin Lizzy, T Rex.
Im psyched, they just announced US tour dates.

i have their album, justin hawkins is the man how he can hit those high notes. To me they are like Queen meets ACDC. Queen mostly for the vocals and ACDC for there power chords overall music. Listen to the intro of I belive in a thing called love and TNT by ACDC, sound similar?

Stussy, they are very close. Never noticed that, they almost sound the same for the first couple seconds.

I'm only familiar with their latest song, but I like it. However, I don't like to watch the video because he reminds me of that creep in "silence of the lambs" when he wears his..uh....full body suit (yes yes yes, pun intended, pun intended).
I'm feelin that queen vibe too...right down to the buck teeth.

I was reading the latest Alternative Press over the weekend (the one with Coheed and Cambria on the cover and the "100 Bands You Need to Know in 2004" article), and they don't seem to like them too much, calling them one of the "bands you'll forget about after 2004" or something along those lines.
But if you're into the "high pitched" rock music, you might want to check out Coheed and Cambria (if you haven't yet). They're more along the lines of punk/emocore, though. But I recommend them *cough cough my sig and avatar cough cough*.

I've only heard "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" and I could not stand that dude's voice, especially in combination with the music. It is funny, I'll give them that, and I think it's hillarious what they're doing with their psuedo-gay thing, but to my ears there's no substitute for a tolerable voice, let alone one that goes along with the music. But then again, some of the music I listen to sounds like the voices are drowning in their own blood while the guitars being played with a file... So to each their own. Cheers!

they are great. Although they don't like being called thrownback. They just think they are a band that is what rock really ought to be. They described themselves as being a straight queen. so I guess that would mean they aren't gay.
