I went to Quiet Waters on a field trip today for history class. I saw rixen and wanted to ride so bad, and was planing to sneek out from the class with a couple friends. The only thing is that when we drove up in the bus, I saw a huge crane lifting the motor tower out of the water. When we left, it was up and the crane gone. Does any1 know when it's gonna be operational again, because I never knew there was a skatepark there and I found some stuff near by to winch. I might plan a film trip up there when its working again so, if any1 knows when that might be, let me know. Thanks.

It should be open again in a couple weeks, I dont think theres a definite date yet. If you are planning to do a video or something there and want help I'll help ya out. I want to see you guys riding that winch, looks awsome.

Does anyone know what exactly happened?? I know that they were revamping some of the stuff when they closed down for 2 weeks, maybe something happened then?? This is killing me, i just bought a new wakeskate and now i can't even ride it!! If anyone gets any info about when it is going to reopen or what happened please post it, thanks

I wish they would hurry up and fix it. Seems like a lot of the people that just ride cable have been ending up on my lake killing the butter.

foammesh, its not that easy to hurry up when the tower is at the bottom of the lake.

Phibius, they were doing something, gettign ready to put the new motor in or something, and something on the tower snapped, and the whole thing fell in the water. They should be open in a few weeks.

im thinking its gonna be sooner, i stopped by yesterday and the tower was completely up and the motor was installed, the only thing they have to do is connect the cable. also, the aframe was getting built, the frame was done, its looking pretty sweet, im in withdrawals from riding there, please open rixen

The message on their phone as of today said that they are re-opening on Feb 3rd (this tuesday) We can only hope!!

phibius, what time are you usually out there cause i dont think ive seen you, im normally there from 12-230 tues-fri, the places sucks on the weekends, damn kneeboarders. anyhow, ill be either on a double up delta 135 or 41 cassette 3d, holla if you see me

I usually go on tuesdays or thursdays at 1 ish. I ride a LF 42 and wear a Black boost, black helmet, I must have seen you there before. (i used to have an old HL platinum)What is the new A frame like, i can't really envision it, i hope it's build with wakeskaters in mind. Hey do you know if they are changing the layout at all? I know there was talk about maybe moving the big rail. I hear ya about the weekends, it was a mistake i only made once, that is for damn sure.

Yuo guys think the weekends are bad now? Then you obviously have never seen it this time of year when the Renasaince Fair is at the park. Its HORRIBLE, it takes like 10-20 mins sometimes to get into the park, and then all the people going to the fair see Rixen and go, sometimes the park gets so full that they dont let anyone come in, if you leave, you cant get back in.

damn the renasaince people, i stopped by today, the cable is fully up, they are just working on the aframe it is coming along, id say they can finish it in a few days

no, i havent slid the whole thing yet, but i am gettin there Laughing

I am not sure how to land it, i think i am going to try grabbing it off the end. Yeah, that picture didn;t help a whole lot, i think i know what its like now though, comes to a point at the top and then goes back down to the water on both sides? That transition could be tough on a skate

yeah it deffinatelt could, im pumped to hit it on my board though, but there is nothing that i love more than sliding my wakeboard

I think he is the best wakeskater down here, and he mostly rides cable. I don't know why I said poster boy, maybe he should have a poster. Maybe it is just the rain messin with my head.

O ok, it must be the rain. I was a little confused by that. But I do agree with you, he is one of the best down here. He is cool, he has helped me with alot of my wakeskating as well.
