"A friend recently got a Liquid Force deck, I think it was an Impulse. And it was funny how bad it rode, seriously..."

Not trying to be rude or anything, but would you care to expound on this comment?

Why is the Impulse such a bad deck? I'm not saying I agree/disagree with you. Cause truthfully that doesn't matter...we should all ride what we like...

Also, why don't you like Hyperlite decks?

It is a valid question...

I did take a blind jab at it without further explanation, so I'll do it here .

First, I need to correct something, after riding again with my friend I noticed it was an Armada, not an Impulse my bad.

This board had the worst ride of all the ones I ever tried. It is waaaay too light, edges are non existant... I love riding finless and on this deck with fins it felt too slippy.... None of my friends that wakeskate every now and then liked it.

I honestly can't find anything good for that deck, so there's no need to go on saying bad things about it...

Hope it clears it out

But yeah, maybe my comment on the article was too snappy and came out a bit harsh lol

just curios, what year was this armada? I ask this because LF totally changed the armada this yr (06)...i havent ridden the 05, but few that I've seen have liked it.

05 rode fine to me. not my favorite but i could have adjusted. i didn't like the molded fins though. not my tea of cup if you ask me.

to me the armada did suck also, just not a very well thought out board imo, but they do last so thats a plus.

on a side note about the impulse, i noticed when i 1st rode i didnt like em much, but then i looked down at my back foot and noticed it was at the transition of the tail and not one the tail and it made all the diff. but as a draw back they break very quickly

The 06 Armada's have different grip, shape, weight, and even construction (compared to the 05). The 05 Armada is the same thing as an 04 Butter 42 Wakeskate. It is the exact same shape with different grip and graphics. Liquid Force took/bought it from butter. No one liked the 05 Aramda from LF so they changed it for 06. I dont know how much it has improved, but I'm sure it better than the 05.

But from your description, Nekkie, in your article...

^^^I'm sure it still won't be heavy enough for you, but I think that's the problem with all 'foam' boards, although it seems like Integrity is getting pretty close to building the perfect deck (last and feels great).

By the way, of course an Impulse will break "quickly", what wood deck doesn't.

LF has really upped the construction on them this year, and I bet they'll last just as long if not better than the other top-lasting, wood decks out there...

The Impulse now uses a 12-step epoxy seal, where as other companies use a lower step process.

All I can is LF has really made their 06 skates much better than their 05's.
