Ok so I got to see the concave skate the other day. (thanks rips) This thing looks rock solid. It should last forever. The concave looks just right (not over done). I think I would go with the grip tape. Maybe I will get to ride it soon (rips hint hint) then I would be able to give a better report.

They are now available at Boarders Paradise for $279 and some change Shocked
Anybody see the prices coming down in the next few months. I know it has the tunable rail/edge but that some serious coin to drop. The question is, are they really worth it? Would love to hear from those that have ridden them, and not just once.

For comparison's sake, the gate is the same price.

But with Mutiny, for the same price, you get:

A real wakeskate that is shaped specifically for wakeskating. Not something that feels like a scaled down wakeboard.

Polyethylene construction & rail base - Much more durable than any other board out there.

Centra Fusion Core - Keep your kickflips on axis.

A reshapable rail - Shape it to your preference.

Grip or foam - It's your choice.

Does boarders paradise have both? They never had an option on their website.

edit* do these come with any guarantee or warranty?

They should be offering both, as far as I know. They're not finished putting all of the info up and the boards aren't available just yet. That's why the Mutiny page on their site is kind of hard to get to.

Anyway, yeah, every board comes with a one year warranty.

wow 279....i really really wanted one of these boards for this next season...but you wont catch me buying one at 279.....

i dont care if it comes with a super maxy blow job extention with a left nut massager. I aint paying 279 for a wakeskate. period.

i bought my Gate at around 209 and i got it when it first came out....i think 200 is pushing it for a wakeskate. I got my brand new cassette 4 trac for around 150 which included shipping. Looks like Ill have to wait for those close outs at the end of next season or maybe an ebayer.

Bullsh*t. If it had a super maxy blow job extention with a left nut massager, we'd both have two of em, and you know it...

Mutiny is more concerned about pushing the design of the boards than the marketing aspect of it all.

You think $279 is expensive? Have you looked at how much high end wakeboards cost? I have seen the perseverance & its a high end skate. Yes the skate is built from different materials that a wakeboard but why should it cost that much less, because it doesn't have inserts? This is not an blown up 9 ply skate board deck which should not cost more than $200 in my opinion. I have yet to ride it and will demo it before I do but keep you whining to yourself until you have ridden it and see how durable it is. Innovate or die!

Like I said, i bought my gate for 209 ....

mutiny "is not" hyperlite by no means... (i am guessing you wont understand though) who has the capatilization on the market? munity? hahaha...who's a big sponsor? munity? who's spending mad money? munity?...ect...ect...

whining? hahaha...no need for that...i got "Cassette"!

this is not a wakeboard, this is a wakeskate....

not really putting yourself in a competitive position with that price point....
