I can land a shov on a skate board no problem, i don't pop it up more than a foot but i can land it 80% of the time. Today was my first time back on the water since halloween. I tried a couple of shovs and it seems like I do everything right except keep the board in front of me (the board spins and shoots out into the flats, (Tryin to do them by the edge of the wake) ) Need any hints. Also I was ridding about 19mph, do i need to go faster?

Try edging out into the flats a little more, and get a little slack in the rope and i think most important relax and make sure you wait for the pop...

i dont know how comfortable you are at faster speeds, because being relaxed really helps but speeding up also makes popping and spinning a lot easier. so maybe do a couple runs at 21 and make sure to try diff. things and come back to the trick, not just trying the same trick over and over
