Board forum type thing?

Dave said we (the community) need to decide what we should for this forum, so we should try to finalize something, or get further than this outline.

I think it's all worked out though. Just read all the posts and you can figure it out, but we'll see what Dave says.

if you split the wakeskating, it will just get confusing and people will still post about boards and crap in the wakeskating area. and people will realize one area doesnt get looked at as much and just post in the other one to get the question answered.

everything seems fine to me right now.

if anything, i like kentos idea. have all skates listed with manufacter's description and specs and a picture. then let people give the board a rating IF THEY HAVE RIDDEN IT. thats a major plus to this idea. then if someone is wondering about a certain board. they can go look it up, see what the people who have ridden have to say and make their decision.

and yes, it is like on wakeworld. i find that part of that site to be quite useful. but no one really rides skates there so there arent very good reviews for them.

I know waht you mean Greg, but such things as videos won't go in the boards forum, just talking about boards and questions. Reviews and whats wrong with them. This way, people can respond and everyone has a say, not just the person posting the 'review' in your case (though people do get to comment, many people just read the review and skip over the comments).

It might be a tad confusing at first, but after a few days of the mods moving the posts, thing would be clear. Also, I think it would be a good improvement to the board, rather than a hassle.

i think that alot of the problem would be that everyone has a say. some one could say my board is starting to delam, then a bunch will jump and be "man they suck, should have bought this." if you only let people who have ridden the boards comment and review them and say whats going on, then things would be better.

i agree with Greg T, about the board guide. if we had a board section it would be like a freaking warzone with everyone being so loyal to one company.

this is a forum, 99% of it is opinions.
it would seperate the board discussions from other stuff. it wasn't really meant to make everything be honest, but i will hopefully help.

I think people are getting the wrong impression. This is not going to solve the rumors, but nothing will. This hopefully will cut down on it, and surely organize it. Hopefully this new board will be a board of truth though. I know we cant just say it and it will happen though.
