Wow, can't wait for part two, and three for that matter, I thought it was interesting that he said he had never actually made a consious descision to quit wakeboarding, but that it was more a natural progression, and I like that he's still inspired by skateboarding, good stuff Dave

Oregon... I still hate this place but there are some great people here and some great things that came from it as well. Very Happy

I think i will have to try to get ahold of "The Messer" kinda brings back some old memories.

Very interesting, Thomas seems like a very chill guy, I really like how many rider owned companies there are. I wish nothing but the best for Thomas and Cassette. Who wrote the intro Dave?

It shall be interesting to finish this interview up. Dammit Dave, your like the OC over here your killing me! The suspense!! Laughing

I wonder what the wakeboard was that he gripped to make a wakeskate? I'm guessing probably a super squirt? I was riding a double up with FWT around that time.

I skate down there every once in a while. Miami is a great place to ride if you know where to go. It has a relatively small wakeskate scene but alot of potential.

Nice interview Dave, and a good idea! I was looking at all those old cassette ads and boards, and it's amazing how far the sport has come in 4-5 years. And just seeing those old ads just make me love wakeskating 10x more...i don't know why, they just do...

i like the fact that everyone gives credit for creating wakeskating to thomas but he is the first one to say that it wasn't his idea. that shows alot of character, i mean i know he is responsible for what it is today but i think its cool for him to he wasn't the first. dave good interview cant wait for the next Laughing

There is a Wake Tech flight 135 in Dave's Cassette gallery, so thats my guess. I may be way off though.

wasnt he ridining for mutiny around 98-99? and pirate i think that people give him the credit for being the first to start a "wakeskate company" and realize its potential not that he was the first ever cuz ive never heard anyone say that
