Hey Guys, as with alot of wakeskaters, when I first got into the sport I spent alot of time browsing these forums, times may have changed but you cant deny that wakeskating.com had a huge role to play in building this awesome community, so I thought it would be appropriate to post this here for all the true's and hopefully newcomers to see.
During the coivd-19 lockdown here in SA , Matti and I started doing an Instagram Live stream on his page talking to various wakeskaters across the globe every Wednesday, people seemed to really enjoy it and we had fun doing it, but instagram live as a medium isn't the most accessible or convenient way to consume content so we decided to turn it into a weekly podcast. We aren't doing it to make any money (although we might do merch at some point to help with recouping equipment costs). We are doing this for people who like us, love wakeskating. So please give it a listen if you want to and let us know what you think, we want to tailor it to what you all want to hear.
Our first episode featuring an interview with Leo Labadens is out now on all major podcast platforms and Trey Seneff's episode drops tomorrow on Spotify and Anchor.
Thanks Guys, hope to see you all every Wednesday

Dale and Matti,
Thank you for doing this, listening to the podcast really gets me pumped to get on the water more!
I would love to hear someone on the podcast with a ton of knowledge of the history of wakeskating. Someone who is not only a great skater but also has followed wakeskating from the beginning and may or may not have the most extensive collection of wakeskates on the planet. If you can find someone like that and pick her...er their brain, it could be a great one. At least for old guys like me.
Jesus, I just read that and realized I am actually an old guy. I started out young, its just been almost 20 years on this site.
Thank you to everyone that has kept this site running!!! |

SEAMAN, thanks for the kind words man and for the questions you asked Nick, they were good ones!
I'm so stoked you are digging the podcast!
I'm pretty sure I know who you are talking about and yes I have thought about asking them to be on at some stage if they are keen. There's no rush though, we don't plan on stopping this anytime soon. If the world opens up again and we can travel, we would actually like to make it out to the states next year and potentially Europe to record some podcasts in person instead of over zoom. _________________ AKA Taco

Ha, you guys are hilarious. I'm sure at some point we could work something out.
I just wanted to express my gratitude also. I'm catching up on these episodes now that it's cooler and I'm working on some inside projects. Josh Z. is full of froth (can we get some more images of his collection/memorabilia?) And it was cool to hear David Roehm's episode, and how he referenced wakeskating.com helping him connect with folks way back when. I'm pumped we had this site when we did. I had places to stay at expo because of this site, and I am really appreciative of the folks I've met through it. And it was funny because in person, we'd reference folks based on our screen names and not our real life names. That was a funny side effect of all of this.
Anyway, keep up the great work!
Derek, I'm in the same neighborhood. We've got to be close to the same age. I laugh when 30 year olds call themselves grandpa. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

Thanks Esnow!
I'll try post some pics here soon, We have videos of all the podcasts too but the production quality is not the greatest. Zoom is not the best tool but we are making due. Our plan is to take snippets from the pod and upload them to a youtube Channel, we just haven't had time to edit recently. _________________ AKA Taco

I think the audio version is just fine. But when you guys mentioned josh’s memorabilia and he talked about his history with remote, it would be cool to see some images of that stuff. It could even be still shots From josh posted on insta. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

Hey guys. It’s been a loooooooong time since I have been back on these boards but a recent skate session after work lead me back here and subsequently finding out the podcast. Just wanted to say it’s awesome to hear that skating is still alive and around. Thank you for the podcast too guys, I’m now working my way through all the episodes now.
Can’t wait to start watching too.
Cheers again guys |

obese, Thanks bru! appreciate the feedback, with summer being in full swing here at the moment we arent able to record every week but are still planning podcast, so there will definitely be more coming up. Im also looking at moving sometime this year and looking at getting a space where i can create a little studio to add a video element to the pod too.
