Dave Hanson was the originator of that one and then Austin Pastura picked it up for a few clips in MTM and some old WM videos, Dave Roehm has a mean one as well, but I remember seeing Matti do it frontside maybe a year or so back which was definitely the first time I've seen that. Matti is one of the best dudes out right now for sure! |

ok so what are they?
I've heard people call daves pressure flips (maybe its a different trick)
this is a bs shuv with a backfoot kick
assuming this can be done fs/bs and with either foot
so is it only a camel if its bs and with the back foot? _________________ https://vimeo.com/moontowerco |

POPTART, they're called different things by people i.e. Camel flip, shuv late backfoot flip, etc. It's all essentially the same trick. I feel like the way I do them is more of one motion, so that's why it's like a pressure flip. When I initiate the flip it's from the toe side edge of the board, as opposed to waiting until it's shuved around and then flipping it. But like I said it's just different ways of doing the same trick, like a back big being a back shuv catch then a back one or a 3 shuv and bs body varial. |
