Anyone ridden this years Remote's yet?
Also what are peoples thoughts on them shedding 2 pounds compared to 2014 and earlier years?

stack, I got a NT in the mail last week, should be able to give 'er a whirl this weekend and I'll let you know. I switched to the NT last year from an integrity so even though it was smaller than the other remotes it still felt bigger compared to the integrity. Real curious to see how this new one rides.

I need a new board and totally out of the loop. There are sooo many new companies. Give me some rider feedback. What's everyone riding? Sounds like remote is the popular choice now?

have WM had urethane sidewalls in the past? Do these things have a grind base now? If so I'd really be interested in trying one

after scrolling thru them, the 40.5 on the site has a view of the sidewalls, and these look identical to the Remotes... are they now hooked up with Moonshine MFG??

I actually would be really stoked if they were

Remote and Moonshine MFG went there separate ways after the last run of boards.

It looks like both Watermonsters and Remotes are being made in the Philippines by BlankBoards MFG, which would explain the Alliance T-shirt they dropped a while back.

I dont know and highly doubt they are the same shape (rocker line, widths, outline, concave) but it seems both have a urethane rail and some fiberglass reinforcements.

If someone has a chance to try both the new remotes and WM please give us here a quick review, very interested to know how they ride and what differences there are.

Blank Board are constructing some good looking skates.

Southern also has a run of boards, and while the photo isn't great, the construction looks like blank mfg also.

Lollarrrr. Naw man. Living down in SoFlo now. Been getting in some sets for the first time in years with AleXxX. Got pumped on skating again.

It blows my mind the lack of info on these boards and photos other than the bottom graphic. At least the WM boards have a decent description and look solid. Waiting for some user reviews![/img]

Ill probably be able to try some soon since Andrew lives on the lake I ride on pretty often as well as TJ.

CanalSkater get in here and set these guys straight.

Yes

Remote, WM, Wandr, and Southern are all made by the same company but have different shape from what I have been told.

They probably make more than that as well. Heca and Blunt both look similar in my opinion.

Thanks for the interest guys, stoked to finally have decks again.

Our boards are constructed a little differently than the remotes because we wanted a thicker deck. With added thickness the board is heavier than remotes but still lighter than our previous decks. We tried to keep our outline as close as possible to our older shape but have noticed the nose and tails are slightly pulled in a little more than the older decks.

We are happy with how they turned out and stoked to have a solid base for hitting rails and a protective urethane sidewall. The one thing that was different for me was getting used to a lighter deck but after a week of riding it I wouldn't change it. All wood wake skates will eventually soak in a little water as they get beat up and patching them with epoxy will help it gain some extra weight.

I hope this helps and I'm stoked on all the wood wakeskate companies these days. Lots of solid choices out there!

So rad. Thanks for keepin' on, keepin' on And Drew. I will be making some purchases in the near future. Cool

And as someone said, I think on the 'gram, it would be neat to see some new soft goods also.

So for anyone who knows, is virtue not making boards anymore?

senza wake, hearing nothing is my indicator, and only why i question. Smile it seemed like a lot of boards were made by them (i think wander co. was one) and now they're being made by blank. Also, their instagram page has been inactive for quite some time.

I don't think they'd necessarily announce anything--there are so many brands that died and went out quietly, it's unreal. Maybe that leaves the option for a return, but there's no closure for the present time.
