Watched this again and have to saw wow... this shizzle looks all kinds of fun and makes me want to pick up a bi level skate and convince some friends as well.

Looks like it would be a blast to mix it up between regular snowboarding days and a snowskate day.

How hard is it to make it down the hill compared to being strapped into a board?

thanks for your kind comment
the transition from snowboarding to snowskating is pretty much the same as for wakeboarding to wakeskating. It is is your head....gravity does much of the work.

try it!! you ll love

take a look at this video, more bangers:

I defiantly want to try it. I have an Ambition concave deck but being a single level i can't take it to a resort.

Any recommendations on the bi level boards? Looking for an all around deck to cruise the hills but hit the park too similar to your first video.

I'm 6'2 , 200lbs and a size 13 shoe if that helps. No problem mobbing around on my snowboard so balance isn't an issue. I might be able to get a deal on the Lib Tech skates through my work, how do those stack up?

From what I've read the bent metal trucks they come with are garbage?

I know miller has posted some stuff on Harfang skates, any other brands to check out?

I prefer harfangs but if you can get a deal on a lib, do it.
Whatever you get, make sure to get some rocker trucks.
With libs you can also get a couple different sub skis to match conditions.

Miller, what are the differences between the rocker trucks? I can't find any descriptions on them.

The glams allow the top deck to flex.
The punk allow either the nose or tail to flex.
The classic only lets the ski flex - that is what i ride.

The ramp is for a different type of skate.

I believe that you can get libs with rockers from lib

with glam trucks

http://ralstonsnowskates.com/

for top deck i would go with the circuit renegade

I have a Lib 39 with Punk Rocker trucks and it rides good. However it is hard to ollie I think it is because the truck mounting is so close to the tips. I am going to get a Ralston sub with fulcrum trucks and see how that works. They look like they will Ollie better. Skateboard decks will work also. Another company to consider is Predog. Snowskating is rad just like wakeskating.

Just wanted to update this, I picked up a Ralston 45AT this past weekend and I'm stoaked on it. Spent about 30 mins talking with Danny (Ralston owner/builder/OG Snowskater) and he was super helpful.

Gave me a nice tour of his shop and answered all of my questions. Said the wakeskating background should carry right over along with my snowboard stuff.

Taking the skate up this Saturday and I cant wait to figure it out.
