I got my Tao today but i've never ridden with fins so I was in a debate about whether or not to slap them on. I'm guessing the board rides a little more stable with them, but the drawback is it's hard to flip...on for example a Shuv?
Is anyone riding with fins anymore? I dont do any park so in terms of locking on etc., they would serve no purpose there. I ride strictly off of a jet ski. Just curious everyone's thoughts? |

Personal preference, ride two sets, one with and one without and try do the same tricks and see what felt better. I personally learnt to wakeskate with small fins but when I got my second deck I rode without and haven't had fins since, my skate doesn't even have fin holes. _________________ AKA Taco

I rode it with one fin because i like how it released for certain tricks, and eventually i shaved the obscura fin down farther. You can definitely ride it either way and the tao is a really sick board. I'd say try it both ways and see what works. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |
