I made a post a few weeks ago on what gopro to get, and I ended up with the 4 silver and couldn't be happier! I love the screen, makes it more than just an "action" camera. I kept it in my pocket almost all trip. Anyway, went do Chris's lake house and did some riding and fun. Here is a video I made with the go pro studio thing. Be advised this my first ever video I've ever made, or edited. Its not entirely all wakeskating, its more a fun trip video of the whole trip so don't hate, also i haven't rode in 3 months so my riding is not killer lol. I was using the mouth mount for all the skating shots which was surprisingly comfortable. I also tried to make it more than just first person POV shots all video because I always found that annoying and hard to watch. Anyway, the reason for the gator title, and the random pointing at the water in certain scene is because I took the first pull in the lake of the trip and on my first fall I came eye to eye with a 10-12 ft gator sun bathing on a ski dry dock about 20 ft in front of me... def closed Ive been to a gator in the water.... pretty humbling. I wish I would have had the go pro for that fall! I was only warming up so I left it in the ski! Enjoy! Very Happy

-=AlexXx=-, That was definintly a good video ESPECIALLY for your first video. The spot was pretty amazing too. I like the rail and the box, makes me very jelly.

Nice edit! I liked how it wasn't just all wakeskating, you incorporated other things you did also. Here's one I did over the summer and edited on GP Studio: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GILYOa_emYg

Also just a tip for future videos, I would mute the original film sound completely. It kind of interrupts the beat of the music.

So much for "I've never seen a gator there." Laughing

Awesome video. Really good mix between riding and non-riding. Makes me want to go back out there. Last time I was there we spent a bunch of time in the garage building this weird winch thing. That was back in 2005 I think. That makes me feel old.

Mitch Bergsma (wakeboarder in Texas) does some really awesome GoPro instructional videos. I learned pretty much everything from watching these videos, but given that the Hero 4 Silver has changed so much you might need to wait a bit before how-to videos are posted that are specific to the 4 Silver. Still definitely worth checking out. https://www.youtube.com/user/micbergsma/videos

scott a we've always known there are gators in the water... this is just the first one we've witnessed in the lake behind the house..

Besides, we were out and riding the next day Wink And yea, you need to make it out next year and we can have a mini take over from California!

Nice video AleXxX... too bad you didnt have the mouth mount out for some of the kickflips you nailed

scott a, Steven M, Thanks guys! Ill def check out the youtube channel, while i was editing, i kept googling how to.... and there were TONS of videos. Good stuff and very simple to do. Excited to test more stuff with this go pro, its so versatile, and with the screen on the back it just makes it even more user friendly and more for daily life and activity instead of just water/action sports.

right steven!?! every time i would go for my warm up lap, no go pro in mouth kicky first try.... LOL then put the the camera starts rolling and i get stage fright. wtf. HAha Smash Next time!

Hey can we get someone who knows the best way to set up these new protune settings for the best looking shots?

I have had good luck color correcting with the free gopro software but every time I try and correct in pinnacle I end up getting some crappy looking footage.

southpaw, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdzI-191xhU

The whole album is great, check it out.

POPTART, I have not messed with that yet.

Been having a lot of fun messing around with filming and editing with the go pro and the editing software. Here is an instagram video I made last night using my new Chemex pour over coffee maker. Smash
