Has anyone ridden a Home Wakeskate? If so, what would you compare it to?
Their boards are looking really good and they are high on my list for my potential board for next year.

i love mine, its the first wooden board that I have called my own. I used to ride a Integrity Colin Gee 39 and moved to a custom made Home Welcome 39, Diets almost made my board one ply thinner and its perfect in my opinion.
The only other wood boards I've ridden have been, a Tao, a new, WM and a CWB 4.19. I didn't really feel comfortable on any of them, they all felt sluggish and a little less responsive than what i was used to. But when I rode my Home, it got used to it after 5 minutes and I was doing all my tricks normally. It feels really good under the feet and is quite forgiving, and its nice and wide for bigger feet.
If you decide to get one you wont regret it, solid board made by a solid dude.

Russ, what made it different for you?
I for sure want one for my collection and have been debating on getting one to ride...kind of eyeing up a few different boards, but not totally sure if they'll ride how i'd like.

electricsnow, I'm very picky about the board I ride and I took to the home very quickly, its fast but not to much so, i'd say slightly slower than my integrity but barely noticeable and faster than a tao. It has great pop and is really responsive, its always there where you want it, I felt it was very predictable and forgiving if you don't always land bolts. I ride alot of boat and one thing that is important to me is how it goes w2w, I felt like it took alot less effort to get the pop I wanted than with other skates i've ridden. My set up now is 39" Thinner Ply, 3-stage rocker subtle. Matti Buys is coming down to shred in two weeks and I'm going to try his setup to feel how the thicker boards feel in comparison. My board weighs in at around 9lbs.
I don't really hit alot of rails but i have hit some and so far so good, Homes come standard with a grindbase material.
If theres anything else you wanna know, just ask.
I will also be happy to post more pics of the shape

I just purchased a Home skate last week and so far I have been nothing but pleased with the level of communication and feedback from Diets. I was able to choose the graphic, colors, rocker, weight, and a couple other aspects of the deck, making this a truely custom deck. I can't wait to actually get the deck in my hands to be able to speak on other aspects of the deck but so far I am a completely satisfied customer. I will be sure to post pics of my deck when it arrives. Diets says it should be around 2-3 weeks.

Awesome! I can hardly wait to see your board! Can the graphic be anything ot is it limited to the anmial theme?
And thanks for the info DaleFish. Your perspective helps...are certain dimensions pre-determined, like length and an appropriate rocker? I have ideas for what i want, but could not articulate that with my own dimensions.

the ride is smoother than what I have ridden in the past so it is easier to keep the handle in because the drag is less. it's nice and poppy and so far seems bulletproof. I've tried smaller boards in the past and found I didn't like anything smaller than 106cm. mine is a 101cm and I didn't even notice it was smaller because the width is perfect.

electricsnow, Diets didn't make it too technical, he kept it simple by listing options like this; Mellow, normal, agressive
As far as the graphics, I think he is staying with the animal theme, buy you can choose what colours and animal you want, or you can get the Madiba (Mandela) Edition.

electricsnow, DaleFish is correct. I didn't have to pick a animal graphic but it was suggested and I didn't mind as it was the first run of decks so I didn't want to go too crazy and get out of line too bad and get off of the theme, so I choose an animal that hadn't been done before on one of the Home skates and I got to choose the colors of the graphic and urethane sidewalls. Can't wait to see the mockup!
Diets helped me choose what he thought would be the best rocker and weight for me based on what I have been riding. I went with a normal rocker and a medium weight ~11 lbs.

Well,, not sure where to begin really. After making a purchase right before Thanksgiving (11/25/14) this past year and seeing all the "order now for christmas delivery" posts on facebook/instagram, I was hopeful that I would have a new deck sometime near the new year (even though this wasn't necessary as winter has arrived and I knew and relayed this to Diets, that there was no hurry. In the initial email it was stated that decks typically take 2-3 weeks for construction and I am fully aware that there were 3 holidays in this time period. I have emailed a few times just checking on the deck and each time it seemed that the deck was coming along good only Diets wasnt do so well. He seemed to have an accident with a dogbite around christmas that put him out of commission for a few days understandably. I received an email on 12/26 stating the deck should be shipped out the following Monday.
I understand that Diets is an athlete himself and enjoys riding and a rider for quite a few companies and has obligations to fulfill. The product seems good from the pictures I've seen but unfortunately thats all I've seen. Hopefully its better than I expect. I have seen posts on social media of Diets surfing, a new spot, etc so I know he has been "busy" with other projects/funtimes.
Just wanted to relay my experience so far.

overstreet31, man that's disappointing to hear. I have high expectations for these boards because they look legit from pics I see. My buddy ordered one and I'm excited to try his. He's got a custom graphic going so it's obviously going to take longer, but he also has similar "communication response time". Nothing negative though yet and I'll give my review if I ever ride one.

All seems to be well on the "home"front. After a little miscommunication and a little craziness my deck should be ready and in my hands this week. Can't wait to check this deck out and for the weather to cooperate and try it out. Apparently a little manufacturing issue and some other hiccups that delayed completion have been resolved and things are finishing up. Diets has been a stand guy to work with and can't wait to see what else is in store. Can't wait to get my new home.

Received my Home skate the other day and finally getting around to be able to post some pics and info regarding the skate. Had a few mishaps and delays along the way but once we got past those and figured out a better way to communicate the transaction went extremely smooth. The final product that I received was well worth the little extra wait time. Diets worked with me to no end to make sure I was satisfied and to make sure I got exactly what I want and ordered.
I went with a 39.5 length and a normal rocker. Weight should be around 11 lbs but haven't had a chance to get it on any scales. The graphic I chose was of an american alligator as the scientific name includes my home state of Mississippi and this fits a little better as opposed to the safari type animals that were on most of the other Home decks.
The quality of the work put into this board is second to none. The details are amazing. No corners were cut at all on the construction. By far one of the best looking decks I have seen so far. Anxious to give it a whirl this spring/summer to test the ride. Durability doesn't look to be an issue as it has a grind base similar to the ones used one the Remote decks. A couple pics are below.
