YEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWW

OK so last night was rad. I got to use it a ton.

I set it up currently as a directional pull off the main spool and ran the other line around the side of our ride spot so I could return the handle back to the group of riders.

So awesome.

We are doing a charity event for a local friend who is battling melanoma.
He worked at Supra for years, so the supra guys, the malibu team the mastercraft team, the local shops, tower makers, basically everyone in the Knoxville area came out and donated their time to raise money for his treatments. Silent auctions and raffle chances. It was rad. The second night of the event is tonight and I am so excited to get to test the winch in an environment like this.

I am still in disbelief. Robby built this thing on a radical idea I had, I picked it up and never even tested it. Took it to a rail jam for the first time it had been shown and it works flawlessly. I am learning more about where this is going every time I set it up and drive it.

The goal is to have a functional proto tested through the winter, rebuild and be ready for sale in the spring.

POPTART, this is super awesome! way to go. I still dont really completly understand how it works. Does the motor go in forward and then reverse, similar to the system 2, or does it work some other way?

Get your Patent application submitted. It isn't just about competitive advantage... but intellectual property as well.

Oh, and great work!

We are working on that as well. Not sure if we are going to go down that road or just teach everyone how to make them and be the Napster of electric winching, while we move on to the next idea/project. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil We seem to have a knack for blazing our own trail. It might be a shame if we stop.

It would be cool if you did for electric winches, what Phoenix Winch has done for gas winches.

supermanotorious, What do you mean you did for gas winches?

Laughing

What has the gas winch build acquired in the past years that would be inconceivable to build without the contribution of the Phoenix winch company?

We made the first working electric winch.

We made the first 2.0 for under 5 grand.

Do we need cheaper electric winches or cheaper system 2's?

If you want a cheap winch , build one.

If you wand a bullet proof electric winch its not cheap because the technology is still in its infancy.

If you want a cheap 2.0 we did it.

You have done a great job making solid gas winches at an affordable pricepoint. We can't make an electric winch for the price of a gas winch because the cost of products used is higher.

Our Motors cost more than it would cost to build a gas winch at home.

I wish I could make them for a MSRP of 1200 bucks but its a long way out Holms.

It's not just about selling the winches but sharing build tips and tricks, engine mods, etc. And of course I want one of yours- one day. Just like we have several skates, there's nothing wrong with having a few winches!

The sooner you do, the sooner you will get more takers, assuming your setup is as awesome and cheap as you say.
