Divisions could be lame but, you cant argue that it would get more people out to the stops.

I dont see why divisions would be lame. I mean, I guess the answer would be to have a seperate tour for lower level riders. You dont see the LA Lakers playing Duke in the playoffs. Because they are separated by the "divisions" they play in: professional vs college. I understand that competition is about being the best, but it is also good to allow less dominate figures participate and one day maybe they will also be participating at the ubber-pro level.

I think the point I wanted to make was that in a smaller sport like wakeskating, it is not likely to have a separate tour for lower level riders. So why not have a separate division at the stops that are already set up? The system 2.0 is already running, crowds are already there.
Well I guess Im not going to any stops either way so disregard my comments

Am I incorrect in thinking that all stops are open to anyone and everyone?

Essentially there are divisions. Anyone is open to come, and try to qualify that in itself is like it's own little competition. It's less elite riders, and if you get in the top 6, you can try your best in the main event.

So in saying this you don't think women should have their own division?

I agree with Frye, the point of a competition is to win, but I think there could be a division for people who can't do crazy tricks down gaps. For example, have the pro division, and then have a division for "amateurs", who are paying the entry fee but are not able to collect any prize money, so it keeps the competition honest. It might seem weird, but personally I would totally pay $75 or whatever just to compete, knowing that I'm not going to win anything, but still being able to feel like a pro for a couple pulls.

Anybody know what the "2 step" set up is going to be like? Or if it's even finished?

HEY HEY,

Anyone going to Texas for stop 2? I'm planning on driving down from Kansas City. I was hoping to camp. Anybody know where most people plan on staying (besides hotels and motels). I called and they mentioned a place called Hidden Cove. Question

I noticed that there is information for nearby campsite locations on the schedule portion of the wakeskate tour site:

Little Elm Park

Hidden Grove Campgrounds

So the 2014 tour is over and hopefully everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. The question now is...was Andrews second place finish enough to boost him over little bro(5th finish) to claim a 3-peat? So glad to see NT finish the year out with the victory. It's amazing watching some of the random vids and pictures you see from searching #battlefalls on Instagram. These guys really stepped the tour up this year and battled through even a wakeboard contest in Canada. Can't wait to see the final standings and to start seeing the stops announced for next years tour. Great days for wakeskating and I think they'll only get better...

Yes, andrew is the overall tour winner for the third year in a row!
