To be fair, the quality of that potluck video doesn't even compare to nick's jettisoned gem on wesubsist. It's neat that it's scott's footage, but i understand where poptart is coming from. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com*
I am not saying that the riding sucked, or dissing the godfather, or anything blasphemous.
Just that there have been soo many killer artful edits lately.( Nicks Gems, Watermonsters Philly Cheese steak vacation madness, anything by Roehm, whoever films those junction23's, Ch13, More clips, any of tads work, etc. etc ) that it seems to me the Potluck video could have been more than a gopro dump, to give the non-participating audience a coverage they/we have become accustom to, considering what the man has done for wakeskating and all.
It could have been worse tho. It could have been all slo-mo teaser editsPrime Movie..cough cough or Watsons HIghLife.
So the ice finally went off my lake yesterday. My parents picked up a new seadoo last weekend and I picked up a new skate. Can hardly wait for the weekend to go ride! Has anyone else had to wait this long to go for their first skate?
Have you ever set up a system 2.0? I know I've said this a few times already in this post, but- it's a process. It takes time, effort, proper tools, & people. As with the gas winch & the electric winch, the system 2.0 has certain applications that make it the most practical and efficient device for the job, but "rolling up to a spot" is not a practical use for a system 2.0, that's what winches are for.
There really is a way to make one controller, operate a single motor, in two directions. There really is a way to make it work.

Im temped to put a link to every part one would need to make their own 2.0 just to fck with their sales.
Very douche-like.
I know now there are better ways of going about things, I have consistently made stupid remarks on the internet (and who among us hasn't). But I knew there was a way to make it work. I could not stand to listen to any doubters. I hope I can take what I have learned along the way and turn this thing into the biggest change in the wake industry since surfgate wait no, since shawkboards wait no since hydrofoils wait no since ...ahh fck it
There needs to be a support from the industry within tho.
So now that I can make a continuous ride system for 1/8th the cost of the base model system2 (lilbro) I should be able to find support among the community to use it to our advantage. The cheapest way to get someone moving across the water continuously is my new system. How do you create a larger wake community? By creating wake enthusiast. The less expensive, more versatile and easier the system is , the better chance of getting it in more peoples hands you have.
The beauty of my design is that it is a regular winch you roll to regular spots with. When you get home you set it up as a 2.0 Its not just for contest anymore , its for anywhere you want to do it, because its easy to make work. System2 is overbuilt, overpriced, overhyped. The only reason you need the cable is to do Sbends in the corner
I can set it up alone in under an hr. So that tells you how overbuilt the system 2 is.
I hope we find traction, support, and encouragement from the community that formed us.
And if not we will be the first people to show everyone how to make these at home and create more riders that way. My number 1 goal is to help get handles into the hands of new riders.
POPTART, How much do you think its gunna cost to build one, or have you build one for us? Im itching to buy a ski after winter, but id like one of these too

nick its hit or miss with the speed. If the majority of the people in line are kind of asking for a faster pull and its not all beginner wakeboarders they will bump the speed up.
I just want to clarify I have no issues with cable riding (other than a long walk back ) its just frustrating riding that much slower than your normal speed and feeling nervous about hitting an ollie up to a box cause you can barely pop off the water.
If anything I feel bad for the wakeboarders boosting off the kicker and landing with zero speed, that must be hell on their knees.
As for the POV videos, this is one of my favorite and makes me want to go ride.
Thanks!
totally forgot about that video. I never intended to make a full video pov but my computer and camera stopped getting along so now I have a ton of footage that i've never even put on the computer. The only thing I had access to was the gopro clips.
If there is no one else to film I say POV is better than no view. But POV definitely takes away from how big a gap is or how high a rail is...
alexxx, want a good 270 shuv to front board? Mr Hampson has those on the menu in a ton of parts. _________________ TEAM FUN!!!!!!

Alex saw it before YOU.
EJazzle, Dude that vid just got me so freakin amped u have no idea. Such good times. Cant wait to ride with u on Sunday! WOOO lets POV film, such good vibes. That w2w back big was buttery goodness.
Yo Gnarly Dancer 42, it's a surf thing too. Actually, probably anything board-sporting related. It can be roughly translated into, "Gee, that was a super nice surfer board/skater board trick, and I'm very excited that you executed it flawlessly". Or something like that.
