I am loving dieter's updates and can hardly wait to see what comes from this! The logo is looking more official also.

That is totally crazy about american and that winch. With the industry so small and tight as it is, i can't imagine how anyone would think they'd get away with that, or even make it as a brand.

Back on topic: how about 12 guage and that florida brand that kept talking about slabs. I saw them on facebook recently but can't remember the name.

Probably not my business to talk about but the American Wakeskate dudes were actually cooperative and helpful with the retrieval of Ben's winch. They weren't the ones who stole it, they just winched with the kid who did and gave him up without hesitation. The kid who did steal it wouldn't even come to the door and had his brother do the talking. He seems like a complete tool. I don't know what he was thinking stealing Ben's winch, it was a one of a kind prototype with his name CNC'd into it, you'd have to be a moron to think you could get away with it considering how small and close-knit the wakeskate scene is, especially in Orlando.

I'd hate to see their name pulled through the dirt when they weren't the thieves. They seem like nice dudes and their skates don't look all that bad! And of course, I could be wrong about this situation and the whole crew could of just lied to us! Haha. It's pretty hairy but I know Ben is stoked to have his winch back.

Edit: Oh and the Aphid Skates are not made by New.

Thanks for shedding some light. As I said the co-founder seems cool and has love for wakeskating just like anyone else here. Was thinking it's kinda of ludicrous to start a board company off by stealing a winch and couldn't really see any one in the community with that mentality.
