Check out the "Adrift" stuff from a while back. They had a similar floating pool gap. Was awesome.

Anchor them down 100 ft apart and just hit em as is. Easiest rail idea ever.

jdarr, That would be a huge waste, if you wanted to do that you could just sell them and build a ton of other rails. Not trying to be a jerk I just want to see something cool come out of this.

Hey if you do end up building this the kicker ramp has to be super mellow, I rode the new one at owc thats just like the one in picture and I always just caught way to much air off the ramp and it wasn't really necessary.

still trying to figure this out, I need $$ to get moving and still need a trailer, I have built several features over the years with cash out of my pocket and I do not want to do that anymore since I'm not the only one enjoying it but doing all the upkeep on it

for this project I am willing to put my $$ into it only if it will still work as a regular pontoon to get us to party cove or for taking the kids fishing

so I've started brainstorming along those lines, what about a kicker on one side and a rail on the other side that fold out.....?

I think it might be a little sketch as the rider would come super close to the pontoon but I thought you guys might have an interesting spin on the idea

supermanotorious, It would be super sketchy to hit a rail or kicker next to it.

The only thing that I imagine working as a pontoon and an obstacle would be pretty much a noramal pontoon with a roof and then a ramp up to the roof at the back of the boat (Front of rail). Maybe a folding ramp. So it basically is a giant fun box.

Or you could do my original idea of a pool gap only add controls and a motor. Oh and make the pool gap have hot tub pluming Laughing

Or you could just make a purpose built pool gap and have people donate money and whoever donates gets to come session it. But idk if the scene is big enough for that kind of thing.

supermanotorious, The pool gap at OWC is only about a foot deep and is shaped like a "V" on the bottom so the sides are shallower and the middle deeper.

Lets just say the pool on top is 20'x8'x0.75'

Thats 120 cubic feet.

896.4 Gallons

Thats 7,468 Lbs and some change of just water weight.

I have no idea how much those pontoons can hold or how OWC floats there pool gap but you could get the weight of the water lower i'm sure if you needed to.

I picked up 20 barrels today and would likely add them to the build to support a ton of extra weight
