what can I say, except I'm always so excited when I see that WSM envelope in my mailbox!
Each issue keeps getting better and better! Sick ads from all of the companies (spawn, wm, aquarium, and australian peeps at follow, etc)--a special shout out to the watermonsters because every ad keeps blowing minds, and this one being no exception. Why? Well, it's kyle walton doing a wall ride! (and not one of those damn varial flips! Let's move on already! --that all means i"m being sarcastic).
It's the interrogation issue, which means there are a bunch of short interviews from guys like the gahd fahther, collin gee, tyler mangus, tanner champion and austin pastura. I like how austin is constantly expressing support for his brother. I was drawn to that more than anything because they're both radical.
So what I"m trying to say is I hope you're subscribing to the best magazine known to wakeskating. I'm sure each and every issue will continue to get better, not only from the amazing company support in that mag, but also subscribers like us. It's like anything in wake--they won't know how bad you want it if you don't buy it and support it!
Nice work everyone!
Oh, and travis doran's back lip on the cover will melt your face. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

Just read tanner's interview and he mentioned ws.com and gave a shout out to parky. I must say, that was awesome. But to give credit to his riding, he's got a couple of really nice shots in there! _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

Parky's great! It's funny in retrospect, but i have a lot of respect for the person he became and he had a lot of passion for wakeskating. That kid sort of grew up on here and we caught him when he was young. I just dig that he got a shout out--i bet many people reading that were like "parky? What?" but we all know!
Many canadians on here seem very dedicated to their riding. I have felt envious countless times when i saw riding footage from those dudes when they live farther north than i do and i couldn't get in the water. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

I agree. I hardly get on the water and I live in texas. Those guys would kill for our weather. And I'd kill to have a lift within an hour's drive. _________________ www.unicornofthesea.com |

I have not yet read the interview but I can tell you Tanner pours his heart and soul into wakeskating. I enjoy every opportunity I get to ride with him and learned what a great guy he was when he hosted a local comp in his home town last year.....and he donated all profits to charity!. Super cool he mentions Parky, another great guy I met through wakeskating and still keep in touch with today. Both of these guys are great friends that I would have never met had it not been for wakeskating. _________________ Bindings? We don't need no freaking bindings.... |

And that is another reason Tanner deserves the coverage.
You should all try riding while it is snowing. Makes you really appreciate your time on the water.
TTUFAN24, I would kill for your weather and you would kill for my lift less than a hour away. Guess we are even. _________________ http://www.integrity-wake.com/

Just got my copy yesterday. Sat down and read it cover to cover. With all the great things happening in wakeskating these days, the existence of The Wakeskate Mag is far and away my favorite thing. These guys do such an amazing job!!! It's been a long time coming...
I got nostalgic when Tanner mentioned parky and ws.com I remember when Parky used to send me "sponsor me" vids at Kampus and called me on the phone constantly. That dude had drive. What up Parky?!
I thought Kyle's "speakeay" article was a really good read, too. good perspective for dudes like me that a little worked up from time to time.
Oh yeah, can't forget to mention my good friend Myles Vickers' Spawn ad. Speaking of cold weather riding, that guy gets gnarly up in Tahoe. He's f'in nuts!!!
All in all, it just keeps getting better. Can't wait for the next one! |

Tanner is such a true and we were stoked to feature him in the mag! Every dude in the interrogation issue deserves the coverage. We're excited to be able to do the job that's been neglected by the wakeboard mags all these years. I've known most of these guys for a while now and it's about time they get a little piece of the spotlight. This is our favorite issue yet and I'm frothing on all of the positive feedback from you guys, that's what keeps us going. (That and the continued support from our advertisers)
And about Kyle's wallride...

Looking forward to reading your interview Tanner! It has been amazing to see you progress from when we first met back in 2004/5... It is actually remarkable to see where you have taken not only your riding, but how you have continued pushing the sport in BC & Canada, so to help usher in the next group of up and comers!
I appreciate the comments old ws.com friends... Glad to see this community is still running strong! |
