I'm moving to Florida next summer to focus more on my photography.

Right now I'm considering Tallahassee as its 4 hours or so from Orlando and I have a friend currently living there. I wanted to go to Orlando but I feel like I may have trouble finding a steady job to cover rent, beer, and gas money for riding.

Any ideas/input?

you think you will have better luck finding work in Tallahassee than Orlando? I like orlando allot, my wife keeps trying to get me to find work back in Texas but I really don't want to.

I haven't been to Tally but I am sure it is fine out there, just never really needed to go.

I have no idea tbh. I've just heard its not so easy to swing a job in Orlando.

I am not a big tally fan myself. A few of my buddies have had their houses broken into and cleaned out and there really isn't much going on other then fsu. I have no idea about work opportunities. South Florida is never a bad place to look. You can probably be a security guard with AlexXx at sears!

I love Tallahassee. So much outdoor stuff to do. St George island is paradise and the bar scene is pretty decent. But it's small town style living. Stuff gets broken into everywhere.

Tallahassee is ok. There's plenty of opportunity for part-time work since they're used to college student schedules all over. Living there is ok if you're down for the college scene. Like anywhere, there are a few places you want to avoid, it's not like crime is super rampant, people seem to forget it's a city with a small-town feel so crime is bound to happen. St. Pete is pretty awesome. good weather, lots of bars to get employed at, and plenty of places to ride (including a cable about 20-30min away).

BB, haha I saw this the other day.

Now I'm thinking about just taking an extended vacation and cruising around Florida, after talking to an established wake photographer. Couch surfing ftw.
