Ooh I like the video idea. I'll try that but it's usually only me and the wife, leaving no one for camera holding haha. Over labor day were going camping though with a few so I should be able to get a vid or two that day.

I thot Shuv it was the easier. Gonna have to go out and try a 180 now. I can do fs, bs surface 180's and surface 360's so I guess I shouldve known just hadn't given it much thot I guess. I only get out once every two weeks or so. So I guess three years probably isn't that much when you break it out.

I can almost guarantee I know what your doing wrong and how to fix it........ If it doesn't work u can kick me in the balls.......... Bend your knees......... That's it. Most new riders don't bend there knees...... Bend em get low and try..... It's not pretty but will let you get the feel of landing tricks.

This is the part I just can't nail down. Went out tonight and i always land with my feet together and fall. Get the rotation right...land on the board...and feet are too close!

Nonetheless, I gave 180's a try tonight since you all said those are easier. I landed my second try with a pretty decent amount of air. Hit about 3 or 4 tonight. They are easier. PROGRESS! Very Happy Didn't get the courage to go inside out on the 180 yet but maybe next time.

They really are because the board stays with you. One other thing I think of is handle placement, and really following through at your hips. I might have heard that one from nick, but it really helps!

exactly, a wide stance gives you more control. it also makes it easier to bend your knees and lower your center of gravity. these are all good things and will help you develop a more fluid style. everyone loves board control

i'd advise skateboarding as much as possible when you're not riding... or trampskating

He's right on this one, a $50 trampoline on craigslist will be the best investment you will ever make if your really trying to dial tricks or learn new ones preparing yourself to take them to the water.

I can almost guarantee to you that if you buy a trampoline. Rig a rope and handle set up and get on a skateboard deck or your wakeskate and do a 100 shuvs on it on the tramp. You will more than likely land your 2nd shuv 1st or 2nd try that next time you go out and ride.
