I've got a 8hp honda with a 1" bore and trying to decide between a 10T or 12T. The 12 T is a #35 chain and the 10T is a #40 chain. I ran a CC on my old winch and don't want to go that route again.
Suggestions? Any for sale?

10 tooth it has a stronger/bigger chain and is easier to find sprockets for on bmi karts. I just bought a second tav from bulletlines this way last week and got it to utah for a total price of 200. Just out of curiosity, what were your specs on your cc winch? Engine size? could you deep water start or even shore start? Did you use it in the snow?

you should be fine either way, if you want to error on the side of caution go with the #40 chain, either way you compare the ratio of teeth on the small and large sprocket to know your gear ratio, you can achieve the same ratio with #40 or #35 chain

one nice benefit of #35 chain are the readily available aluminum sprockets, this is a great way to save weight if that's an issue in your build

I've got a 8hp honda, #35, 12t and 72t.. works great, deep water starts, has no problems use in in snow and water.
