So, i've never been to a cable park, only been behind boats. How hard is it to ride a cable, hit rails and generally be a noob at cables? Also, how big are the crowds at TSR say on a saturday? I dont feel like makin a fool of myself infront of tons of people. |

It doesn't feel like it's in Houston because it's so far out on 288 but it's definitely closer than TSR. I have never been to TSR but I know people freaking love it. It is a counterclockwise pull at TSR where it is clockwise at WN. I have been to WN a couple of times and I realized that I SUCK at cable. I don't know why (other than the fact that I suck) but some days I just can't get up! It's really sad but mostly everyone else picks it up real easy, I'm just too stupid to learn somethig other than boat/winch I guess. Also WN has a 2.0 system so you can learn your tricks and I hear it usually has no one on it. _________________ You had me at meat tornado. -Ron Swanson |

magicace, what part of town do you live in? we could car pool sometime if you wanted, it's off of 288 and hwy 6, so roughly 30 minutes from downtown, depending on traffic...but as texasT said, WN also has a 2.0 where you can learn the concept and feel of an upward pull, but I don't find it translates extremely well into the big cable for beginners. It helps you know what to do with your arms, but not so much your legs or feet. However, everyone there is super friendly and willing to help you, the big part is just keeping your weight back, in your heels and not letting the cable pull you forward and off of your board. |
