I've already spent about 650/700 on it and the engine needs some work. My friend out here that said he'd split the cost with me has only thrown down about $30. To finish it I'll probably have to put down another 200. Also even after its done my car doesn't have a hitch so I won't be able to transport it. Pretty much all thats left is to fix the engine mount the tav, mount the engine and then just put the spool and the spocket on the axel and its a done deal. I need to go out and buy a chain and two axel hubs for the spool.

Hey, I was just made aware this link had found its way to the main forum.
First up, thanks for the props and feedback and just to set a few of you straight I assure you there is no trick photography or sly editing in this video.
I made this set-up as I work permanent night shift while most of my mates do the 9-5 gig, leaving me all day to ride but no one to ride with.
It'll probably be easier if I throw another video together over the next few days to show the system in a bit more depth rather than go into the specifics here, it's pretty simple really ... but for those who can't wait just ask, I'm happy to share the info.
Senza wake: it's a separate remote not on the handle leaving you free to ride like normal, it'll make more sense in the vid.
Oh and yeah that is our backyard check out the following link for more ...

Check out this vid for a more detailed look in to the operation of the Auto Winch.
http://vimeo.com/25800206
This system basically consists of a wireless remote which when pushed sends a signal to a solenoid to engage the throttle. An adjustable timer in the circuit delays the solenoid from activating, giving you sufficient time to ditch the remote and get a good grip of the handle. The motor then cuts out when a pre-determined amount of pulses are sent to the counter, that way if you stack and let go of the handle you can rest assured the winch will stop in the same spot every time!!
Simple really, now go off and make your own
