Ok, besides the guy on here who did it with a golf cart, does anyone have ideas about how to run the winch and ride it at the same time? I know there are safety issues with one man winching and it wont be as fun without friends but sometimes your just the only one around.

The best thing is NOT that you can ride without friends, The best thing is that you will keep them away from bad driving

the boo dog winch can be set up to run for one person
pm me

but as a rule of thumb we reccomend never riding alone

even if you have a friend or lady with you that is just there to watch and be able to dial 911 if anything goes wrong

like having a spotter at the gym

we also will be able to eliminate the wire from the handle

imagine a big button at your start dock you mash to go (like a guitar pedal or staples easy button)

it will only cycle set distances , for set torque and set speed

POPTART; That sounds like a good solution, But Is it possible to start in water, start where you fall, and if the rope get stuck in bushes or something is it possible to stretch the rope before riding?

yes

very similar to the way his golfcart winch worked

tightening the ling (pulling on the rope ) completes the circut and inguages the winch

but then again

you would really need someone else to watch you just to make sure you don't bump your noggin
or and one foot one one foot off and tear a knee out

im not sure winching will ever be a solo sport

the closest to solo will be the cable operation
your by yourself but there are others around
