I have a GoPro, Sony Vegas Pro, and Pinnacle HD studio, what is the best way to pull a still image from the GoPro video? I would like to be able to look at the video frame by frame then pull a high quality image from the frame

idk if there is an export frame as option in sony vegas or pennacle but you can always full screen the frame

alt+prt sc(next to delete) then open paint and ctrl+v
then save as

go pro has a free convertor on their website under the support page or something called streamclip
it has an export frame option
also converts to almost every format
flips rotates and clips clips but not much else

that is a perfect response, thank you, although I've done the screen print and paste I thought there might be something of higher quality and I bet the GoPro software is the answer, I'll try it tonight and show you some bad ass pictures where the GoPro was under our rail yesterday and caught some epic fails

UPDATE

The mpeg converter wasn't doing what I wanted so I took a harder look at Sony Vegas, I opened the video in the Trimmer, zoomed in on the timeline and was then able to move frame by frame, I selected "Send to external monitor" and it displayed the frames full screen on my second desktop monitor, freakin awesome, I learned that 30 fps seems like alot but when you go frame by frame there is still a gap between action sequence, I'll try shooting on the 60fps this weekend to see the difference
