Go Pro vs. ?

I've seen several GoPro vids now, just curious if anyone is using something else. I've been looking at ContourHD cameras (contour.com)...anyone using Contour or something different? For anyone using GoPros, am I out of my mind for considering something else?

labellethrasher, im looking too, i want a go pro so bad, but sanyo makes a hd handheld that also looks like its worth the cash

What poptart said!, couple of my friends have these sanyo cameras and they are awesome for the money. Not like the go pro where you can attach it your helmet. They great for taking on the boat, tube filming, or as my friend does, a tower attachment that uses the line to keep the camera on the rider.

ugh i want one soo bad

whats the difference in the "wide" gopro

is it the same camera? just different mountings in the packages or are there actual differences in the cameras that come in the packages

the skateshop here in chi-town has one for 300 that has all the mounts , chest, helmet, board ect

is that the same one on the website for 259?

i almost bought it

but im not riding so whats the point Rolling Eyes

i might get one for winter

dose anyone have the chest strap?

please school us on gopro's here guys

The GoPro is a pretty amazing little camera, with all the new small HD cameras out there the prices just keep dropping. In a couple years we'll be able to buy 3D camera's for less than $1000

This one is kinda interesting too... it'd be fun to film with if you were doing chase shots while riding next to someone.

yo B....i got a sanyo also after i saw the awesome work brett leadley shot with one.....and paul's vid looked pretty clean as well.

how are you guys saving your memory? on discs or a back up hard drive? what type?

waterproof and hd....u can't beat that.

haven't hardly used it much.......but hopefully this fall things will start happenin

Just ordered the playsport yesterday. Its half the price of the hd go pro and can be used for more than just mounting to stuff.

Will let you know how i get on with it.

used it to film with dave and gregeo

Dave has a cleeeen Kicky looks so cool

i also am in love with the photo features
the 2-60 sec intervals are sick
i made a time lapse of the sunrise yesterday and got it put together yesterday
so ill have a few things to look at here soon
