I just try to slow everything down a bit and think about how I throw a regular shuv. I too have a tendancy to either rush things or not put in the same ollie energy into a front shuv as I do a normal pop shuv. that's all I've got, hopefully others will have some good input for you. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com*
i dig my back foots heel in pretty hard and give it a good push forward at the same time. i do try to ollie a bit also and use the front foot up in the front of the board to move the board also kinda like i would a nollie shuv on a skateboard.
when i was having the same problem i tried changing my stance a little bit and it worked. try hanging your back heel off an inch or two. also focus on scooping it up just like you would on a bs shuv with your toes, but do it with your heel. hope this helps.
