Sick, yes. When you land with one foot and on your back, no...

you wouldn't be a judge b/c it's obviously landed and you can't go against the technical definition of landed. was it pretty? no. can you claim you landed it once? yes, but must follow up with, "it was a crappy landing and i back slid. hopefully i'll catch one clean soon"

I agree, if it dont look good whats the point?

So wakeskating is about looking good? So people who are not good looking are pointless?

So let me get this strait, you don't want to see any video of people doing tricks on a wakeskate unless they are Grade A, Dialed in, smooth as butter. Correct?
What a shiznackle way to live.
I claimed my first shuv-it, was it pretty? hell no! but I rode away.
Hell, I can't wakeskate for the next 4-10 months because of a knee injury. I'm hobbling all over the place but for the first time in 6 weeks I don't need crutches, so I'm claiming that I can walk even though it's not pretty. I think I'll put me hobbling on film so you can tell me that I shouldn't be able to claim it.

Yep you got it right.
Go ahead and make the video you seem like "that guy" and will do whatever it takes for your 5 minutes of fame.

If me being "that guy" makes you feel warm and fuzzy that's awesome. But based on our words we are both "that guy."

just a bunch of haters. and i'd have to call for the judge to be thrown out for not understanding rules. you can give a lower style score, but can't say he fell for he still had the handle and ended up riding away.

this is hilarious, watch whatever you want and post whatever you want, but not everyones gonna get stoked on a trick that someone should have fallen on but instead managed to ride away because he kept 1 foot on lol.....

First off yes technically he did land the trick, but should it be claimed? No

if that was behind anything other then cable he never would have pulled out of that. If you watch some other videos of S.K.A.T.E. they specifically say if one foot comes off it does not count as a land which imo is how it should be. If you drag like that the trick shouldn't be claimed it has to be clean or just a hand drag not laying on your back with one foot off the board.

landed: yes.
claimed: never.

If he landed in a comp, chances are he has landed it before, so in the situation he did what he had to, to keep from falling and possibly ruining his chances in the comp further then just a low style score because thats better then a fat goose egg for being neck deep in the water.

It may not have been pretty...But I know I sure as hell wouldn't be able to pull that off... even if you told me it was okay to get dragged. So I'm still stoked to see him rideaway even if it wasn't landed .

I've seen a few videos of this Aaron Perkins guy. With the amount of skill he has, it wouldnt surprise me if he stomps these regularly and he was just stoked to have rode away from his first one in competition.

wow, I agree with lemons. The first post is one sentence long and isn't really claiming. Maybe the move isn't perfect (maybe he "schwenked"--little waker reference for some of you old schoolers Razz ), but people should still feel like they can post something on here they're stoked about. This isn't the berrics or anything elite. There's a wide level of ability levels among the riders on this site...I know aaron perkins is pretty talented, but with him getting thrashed for not having a perfect landing in some contest, I'd hate for other less experienced riders to feel like they can't share something because of judgement.

im not doggin the kid, i've seen his vids and he's got killer style and more than enough tricks to double mine, but i do think its gettin a tad redic that people feel the need to keep postin sketchy landings like this and expect people to praise the vid they found....
